Spreading Kindness
Sarah and Taylor wanted to spread kindness in our school and in our community, hoping to brighten people's days through simple acts of kindness. At high school, it is easy for students to have bad days, be stressed out, feel bullied or brought down, so These two grade twelve girls wanted to try and make peoples days better for 30 days.
Things that they did
Sarah and Taylor worked together to do numerous things around the school and locally during the month. They posted sticky notes all over lockers around the school with encouraging notes to bring a smile to their faces. They also placed nice notes on cars people's cars in the parking lot to make them happy. In the picture above, they put a whiteboard out during lunch period, gathering students throughout the school's thoughts and things that make them happy, reminding them to be thankful for these things during their day. Picking up garbage around the school and the community are a few other simple gestures they did to help spread kindness. Sarah and Taylor also visited a retirement home to bring joy to some of the elderly.
Overall, they really enjoyed what they did with this assignment and felt good being able to help others and spread kindness. They hope that their actions encourage others to pay it forward and feel inspired.
